Customer account records allow you to configure customer attributes that impact checkout options and tax calculations for online sales from your store.  Customer records are not unique to your store.  Customers that use the partstore.online framework to purchase genuine OEM replacement parts either directly, or through a manufacturer's electronic parts catalog, may use the same identity to purchase from multiple vendors.  However, each customer has information that is specific to each vendor.  The customer's account number and Customer Tax Exemption Status as well as other important settings can be configured for each customer in your store as required.
