Importing Parts To a Catalog

 
To access the Data Import page: select the catalog you want to update from the Manage Catalog screen and click on Edit | Manage Parts.
 
 
The Parts page will be displayed.
 
Select the Import button in the upper right portion of the Parts page to display the Data Import page.

Import

Click this button to display the data import page where you can bulk import parts and parts images from files. When you click this button  the Data Import page will be dispalyed.

Import type

1. Import type
Allows you to make an Imprt type selection.  You can bulk import parts lists or parts images.  For mor information about import file formats click here.

Parts

2. Parts
Parts allows you to upload a comma separated value file (.csv) or excel file (.xlsx) containing a list of OEM parts.  the list should contain the columns with the OEM part number, your part number, your retail price for each part, associated custom tax classification (optional.) By default, uploading parts is cumulative.  If you upload multiple parts lists to a single catalog they will be combined into one list.  If you upload a part that already exists in a current catalog, it will be updated.

If you would like to delete all parts in the catalog and upload an new list then you must check the  Clear existing parts info before import checkbox.

Images

   4. Images
 Images allows you to import a ZIP file containing parts images.  Parts image file MUST be names the same as the OEM Part number.  For example if you have a part number "8462" you must name the associated part image file 8462.jpg, 8462.png or 8462.gif depending on the file type.

Select file

Click the Select file button to select a file on your local computer that you will upload to partstore.online to load parts, prices, alternative tax classifications to your catalog. Once you have selected a file and clicked OK on the file selection dialog you will be returned to the Data Import page.

Once you have uploaded a parts or image import file the import will be added to an import queue.

Clicking the Download example csv file with parts button will download a sample parts file in .csv format to your computer. Your import file MUST contain:
OEM Part number
Your Part Number,

Clicking the Download example xslx file with parts button will download a sample parts file in .csv format to your computer.

Clicking the Download example Zip file with parts images button will download a sample parts file in .csv format to your computer.
 
 
The progress of importing the parts into your catalog will be displayed in the import task list.  The time it takes to process your file depends on the number of parts or parts images you are importing. Failed imports will appear in the list with a description of any import related error.
